Testimonial of Darlene Miller

I bought Micky, a quarterhorse/standardbred cross, at the age of one and a half from some small time, abusive horse traders who had picked him up cheap from a slaughterhouse. I knew nothing of his history other than he had pneumonia and he had been abused. He seemed to thrive with good care and handling but was always a little tenderfooted especially after being trimmed.

Micky was never ridden hard just easy pleasure rides on weekends but around the age of ten he started to become lame off and on in his front feet. Following x-rays and a diagnosis of navicular, we tried some shoes and wedge pads that did little to help. A new farrier and careful trimming lengthened his soundness though he still experienced stiffness and stilted movement in his front legs periodically.

Five years later Micky injured his left front foot/leg, overnight in the pasture, and was unable to put any weight on it at all. While treating him for a bowed tendon, as one vet incorrectly diagnosed, there was very little improvement. He was still in a lot of pain and had begun to lose weight. To move he would shift his weight backwards and then throw himself forward onto his right front only to have to quickly shift his weight backwards again to rest. He was so exhausted from this that he laid down a lot but getting back up was an extremely difficult procedure for him as well. He was skin and bones and depressed. I arranged for another vet to examine him and he informed me that Micky had low ringbone, probably never had navicular and there was nothing that could be done except Bute him until spring when the backhoe could dig him a grave. It was very hard to see my buddy hurting like that and I felt so helpless.

I was told about Sharon’s abilities and desire to help animals through my sister Brenda and her friend, Connie Procevet. Thanks to their support, I then made the call that would change our lives. Sharon spent a lot of time with me over the phone taking a detailed history of Micky’s life, asking a lot of questions and really listening. She explained what she felt was wrong and suggested some products for his foot, his bowels and for his immune system and how to use them. I finally felt hope. Within a short time after starting Micky on his regime his spirits seemed to lift, he started to gain weight and use his leg again. I continued to use TTouch exercises to help increase his circulation as well. Today, almost a year later his dosages have halved and although I am worried about riding him and risk injury again at 22 years old, he is sound, round and happy in his pasture life of leisure. Sharon has given life back to my friend and I am forever grateful.
